Children’s mental health conditions

According to the World Health Organisation (2021), worldwide, 10-20% of children and adolescents experience mental health conditions, but most of them do not seek help or receive care. The consequences of not addressing mental health and psychosocial development for children and adolescents extend to adulthood and limit opportunities for leading fulfilling lives.

I aim for this book to start the conversation. To normalise mental health issues from a young age so that children grow up informed, knowing that anxiety, among many mental health issues are acceptable and manageable and support is always available. I want them to know that they can and should reach out and seek help.
